Drive Home With Dinner: Three Great Asian Restaurants in Woodbridge, VA

The brightness of Asian flavors can be a welcome change from the heaviness of barbecue, fast food, and other classic American fare. Nothing against those cuisines of course, but sometimes you just want something with lemongrass, soy sauce, lime, and other Asian flavors. There are some good Asian restaurants here in Woodbridge, VA that we can safely assert are worth putting the family in the Ford Explorer to get to.

CHIYOSHI

CHIYOSHI is a great spot serving both Chinese favorites and delicious Japanese food. You will find them at 14087 Jefferson Davis Highway #121, in the Marumsco Plaza. They are open from 11:30 AM until 9:30 PM every day of the week. This place has really good teriyaki, excellent beef, and a spotless kitchen where you can see what they're doing and feel confident that everything is being prepared carefully.

We just love their fried lime wontons and the aged tofu. The Japanese teriyaki is always on point, and the salmon is particularly nice. All of their fried rice choices are good, and they also have a great chicken rice noodle dish that really hits the spot. We also suggest you try one of their signature dishes, such as the Mongolian Twin, which is sliced chicken breast and beef stir-fried with onions, or the Triple Treats Broccoli, which is chicken, shrimp, and beef stir-fried with broccoli.

Jangko Japanese

At 13658 Jefferson Davis Hwy, in the Potomac Plaza, Jangjo is serving up quality food you'll love at prices that won't break the bank. Their sushi, teriyaki, tempura, and bento boxes are all worth stopping in to try. They are open from 11:30 AM until 8 PM from Monday through Friday and from noon until 8 PM on Saturday. They are closed on Sundays.

We recommend you try their tempura battered shrimp and vegetable appetizer, and the delicious vegetable yaki soba, which are noodles that are pan-fried. The beef and chicken teriyaki are delicious, and we enjoy all of their sushi and sashimi offerings. The yellowtail is really good, and we are always big fans of the tuna sushi. Don't forget to stop in at lunchtime to pick up some really great deals.

Dok Khao Thai

Can't recommend the spot enough. You'll find them at 15200 Potomac Towne Pl, in Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center. The staff here are great, and the food is amazingly delicious. They also have some really good cocktails, and if you do enjoy a few of these, please drink in moderation and never drink and drive.

A few of our recommendations are the Crispy Duck Basil, the red curry salmon, and the spicy tilapia in mango sauce. The "Lamb in Two Seaon" is a delicious dish of sautéed lamb with chili paste, basil, coconut milk, bell pepper, and special garlic sauce served with steamed broccoli. They also do great spring rolls and curry puffs, and their soups are flavorful.

Try one of these great spots for lunch or dinner today, and take your Ford over to us at Koons Woodbridge Ford for great service.
