Biking is one of the most fun ways to exercise and stay active, and Woodbridge, VA has some terrific bike paths for you to explore. Check out these seven spots next time you’re looking for somewhere to do some cycling.

1. Laurel Hill Mountain Bike Trails

If you’re looking to put your mountain cycling skills to the test, the rugged terrain that the trails at Laurel Hill Mountain go over are the perfect challenge for you. The tranquil scenery that surrounds you will set the perfect atmosphere for you to enjoy your day out to the fullest.

2. Occoquan Regional Park

This 400-acre park provides a diverse landscape for all sorts of activities, including a waterfront perfect for boating and other aquatic fun, but their bike trails are a highlight for us. You’ll cruise along the side of the stream with a beautiful canopy of trees shading you above to give you the ideal setting for a peaceful ride.

3. Leesylvania State Park

Enjoy some gorgeous views of the Potomac River at this park, which has a visitor’s center that will tell you all about the area. Find out which trails permit bikes before deciding which part of this park to explore. When you’re done riding, the picnic area makes a great spot to enjoy an outdoor meal to fuel up from your exercise.

4. Mason Neck State Park

While some of the more rugged trails at Mason Neck State Park may not be suitable for a bike ride, there are plenty of other paths that make great choices for your next cycling trip. You may encounter some of the other residents that call this park home, such as bald eagles, great blue herons, ospreys, and more.

5. Meadowood Mountain Bike Trail

While you can have plenty of fun just hiking the scenic trails that run through the area around this trailhead, there’s nothing that beats the rush of taking your bike out through the mountains here. There are paths that use the natural forest floor as well as wooden trails built into the layout here, including some unique obstacles that provide a different test of your abilities.

6. Rippon Landing Park

A peaceful spot for you to take a quick bike ride, Rippon Landing Park is a favorite for locals looking to get a taste of the great outdoors. Between the plants that flourish here and the animals that occasionally pay it a visit, the wildlife that thrives in our region is on full display here.

7. Neabsco Regional Park

The boardwalk here might be the main attraction for the amazing views it provides of the surrounding area, but the trails at Neabsco Regional Park are also a great place to do some cycling. This is also a pet-friendly park, so bring your furry friend along for your excursion.
