For the best Mexican food, you don’t have to go south of the Rio Grande. In Woodbridge, VA, we have great Mexican restaurants right on our doorstep. When you’re craving a quesadilla, or you just have to have a plate of beef burritos, these are our favorite restaurant choices just for you.

El Paso Mexican Restaurant

Located at 3031 Golansky Boulevard, this restaurant has been a feature of Woodbridge life for more than 20 years. Service is fast and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The menu is extensive, so you’re certain to find your favorite Mexican dish here. We recommend the pollo loco, a grilled chicken breast topped with onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers and served with rice, beans, and tortillas.

El Paso has both seated and takeout services, and they offer catering too if you have a home or office party to organize. They’re open daily from 11 am, so they’re the perfect venue for your lunch or dinner Mexican craving.

Uncle Julio’s

This restaurant chain has grown from just one restaurant to 35 based in 11 states, and when you try the food, you’ll understand why. While you snack on chips and their excellent homemade salsa, you will be spoiled for choice with their extensive menu possibilities. All their items are freshly made from scratch, and the menu features classic Mexican food, with vegan and vegetarian options available. Our favorite appetizer is the honey habanero shrimp, with jumbo shrimp stuffed with habanero peppers and crumbled queso fresco, wrapped in bacon, and topped with a honey chipotle glaze.

Julio’s is located at 14900 Potomac Town Place, Suite 150, and they are open daily from 11 am.

Los Toltecos

For good family-friendly food and entertainment, this is a place to visit. When you step into the restaurant, you feel as though you’ve been transported to a genuine Mexican cantina. Burritos, enchiladas, and quesadillas all vie for your appetite on the menu, but the real stars of the show are the house specials.
The carne asada, marinated flank steak with lettuce, pico de gallo, and guacamole is delicious. If you are looking for a vegetarian option, the chiles poblanos with cheese and potato stuffing in egg batter and topped with mole poblano sauce is a delicious choice.

Toltecos has a lot of entertainment for guests of all ages. Their mariachi band is excellent, and they also have bingo and karaoke if you want to test your luck or skill. The restaurant is located at 4210 Merchant Plaza, and they are open from 11 am daily.
