1. Leesylvania State Park Campsites
The 556-acre Leesylvania State Park at 2001 Daniel K. Ludwig Drive here in Woodbridge has small but beautiful camp areas on the banks of the Potomac River, ideal spots for a secluded getaway. The park has tents-only primitive campsites and one exclusively for paddlers. The tent areas have picnic tables, benches, lantern hooks, large fire pits with grill tops, and firewood is provided at each site.
All the camp areas are within walking distance of the park’s recreational activities. From your campsite, you can explore the beautiful scenery on miles of trails, fish from a boat or the 300-foot pier for largemouth and striped bass, perch, and catfish, and soak up the sun on the sandy beach. The Breakwater marina rents boats, canoes, and kayaks and has a well-stocked store and snack bar.
2. Pohick Bay Regional Park Campsites
It’s a short 6.4-mile hop and a skip to 5400 Ox Road in Fairfax Station to camp in the scenic beauty of the 1,000-acre Pohick Bay Regional Park. The camp area has 150 shaded sites with electricity, or you can choose between deluxe and rustic cabins with electricity, air conditioning and heat, and a small refrigerator. There’s also a camp store open daily with everything you need.
Campers can paddle, hike, bike, and horseback ride, splash around at Pirate’s Cove Waterpark, and play golf on one of Virginia’s most picturesque 18-hole golf courses. There are also challenging miniature and disc golf courses. The park rents pedal boats, single and double kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards, and you can wet your hook in the bay and Potomac River to reel in largemouth and striped bass, bluegill, perch, carp, crappie, and catfish.
3. Prince William Forest Campsites

Tired after a long day of work? Hosting a Friday movie night? Simply don’t want to cook? We get it! It is nice to treat ourselves to take-away or delivery food every once in a while. If you’re in Woodbridge, VA and not sure where to look, we think you should try out one of these delivery restaurants.

1. Astoria Pizza
When we think of take-away food, pizza is the first thing that comes to mind. Astoria Pizza has been the top-rated pizza place in town since 1976. Their pizzas are freshly made, meaning you can order whatever toppings you’d like. A few of the toppings offered include pepperoni, feta cheese, pineapple, and greek olives. A large cheese pizza starts at $13.95 with an additional $2.00 per topping.
Of course, you can’t have pizza without Greek food. At least that’s the motto at Astoria’s. In addition to pizza, you can also order Greek gyros and platters. While not as easily shareable, this is a great option for people who don’t fancy the cheesy carbs.
2. Chiyoshi
What’s the next thing we think of when we think of take-out? Chinese food! Chiyoshi is an all-Halal Japanese and Chinese restaurant that offers contactless delivery. The food is delicious and the delivery is lightning fast. You order your meal based on protein type. The categories are chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetable.
If you’re looking to feed a bigger group of people, the party trays are the way to go. Feeding up to 6 people, there are plenty of trays to choose from. Some of the offerings include bourbon chicken, seafood fried rice, and shrimp veggie. These trays do not come with rice, so be sure to order some on the side!
3. Smokey Bones
Smokey Bones screams Sunday night football party. On the menu, you can find hearty appetizers, smothered wings, and juicy burgers. Although there are plenty of other options, this place specializes in all things wings! You can order up to 24 jumbo wings or jumbo smoked wings covered in any sauce you’d like. Some of the most notable sauce options include spicy mango tajin, Alabama white barbecue, and hornitos black glaze.
Available Friday to Sunday, we recommend ordering the Weekend BBQ Party Pack. For $99.99, you can get two pounds of three different meats and two quarts of sides. You also recieve two free bags of donuts to sweeten up the deal. Usually feeding up to 10 people, this is an incredible offer to look into!
Whether you are searching for pizza for family night, Chinese take-out for date night, or a bucket of wings for game night, we hope that one of these delivery places suits your needs! After a long week of running around in your reliable 2022 Ford Explorer, we understand why you might want to take the night off. Stop by Koons Woodbridge Ford and browse our inventory today!

The water is cool and refreshing, and nothing beats an afternoon floating and bobbing in the waves! To best experience the Potomac, you’ll need a boat. And one of the best places to rent one is Potomac Boat Rentals.

On your hike you’ll meander through open forests and pass by creeks with fallen logs that serve as a habitat to many of the region’s local wildlife. If you get to the end of the hike and want more, then explore the North Valley Trail, which connects to it!

A Buyer’s Guide to the 2022 Ford F-150
The 2022 F-150 is unique in that it’s a work-ready pickup that doubles as a stylish daily commuter vehicle with off-road capabilities. A jack of all trades, this iconic truck offers Selectable Drive Modes that can take you virtually anywhere, a cozy cabin with top-of-the-line technology throughout, and a wide range of work productivity features for making every job easier. So if you haven’t been acquainted with the latest edition of the 2022 Ford F150 yet, consider this an introduction.

A Buyer’s Guide to the 2022 Ford F150
Brilliant Performance
Few pickups on the road today offer as many engines as the 2022 F-150 does, with six available choices. One standout in the group is the hybrid V6, a 3.5-liter PowerBoost engine that produces up to 430 horsepower, so performance isn’t sacrificed for the sake of fuel efficiency.
For off-road excursions, not only is there a 450-horsepower 3.5-liter engine fitted into the rugged Raptor model, but there are also Selectable Drive Modes available for all models. This terrain management system allows you to quickly change the vehicle’s driving mode to match the varying terrains you might encounter in your adventures.
A Cabin with Comfort
While sitting in the front driver’s seat, you can enjoy the available heating function on colder days while getting work done on the in-cabin work surface, which unfolds quickly whenever needed. A wide array of seat fabrics are available to suit your style, whether you prefer upscale leather, vinyl, or the unique sport cloth option.
For napping, a pair of Max Recline seats are available for both the driver and front passenger, which Ford carefully designed with lumbar, shoulder, and neck support in mind. For a soothing vibe while driving at night, there’s also an available ambient lighting feature that emanates an Ice Blue glow throughout the cabin.
Phenomenal Technology
As for its technology, this pickup comes decked out with a wide array of features and options including an 18-speaker, 1080-watt premium sound system, a wireless charging pad for smartphones, and the FordPass Connect 10-device Wi-Fi Hotspot.
To enhance all your family road trips or daily commutes, there’s also the convenient SYNC 4 feature, which gives you full voice command over music selections, vehicle preference settings, radio stations, and navigation instructions.
Advanced Safety Systems
When switching from one lane to another, the last thing you need to worry about is whether there are any vehicles hidden in your blind spots. Luckily, this pickup comes with BLIS, the Blind Spot Information Warning System, which can let you know immediately if any vehicles have approached yours too closely on either side.
If you’re tired of the hassle of having to squeeze your way into tight parking spots while constantly checking your side mirrors, you’ll love the Active Park Assist 2.0 feature, which can park the vehicle for you with ease.
Capable performance meets modern technology and a comfortable cabin in the 2022 edition of the F-150. For a closer look, visit our dealership today at Koons Woodbridge Ford and our friendly staff will be here ready to answer all your questions.
Your Ford F-250 is made to work: but don’t let that make you at all self-conscious about taking it for a delicious ice cream run, especially on a hot summer’s day. Here in Woodbridge, VA, we have some amazing places you can visit for cool, icy treats that will give you the oomph you need to get back on the road and back to work.

Frostie Moose
Frostie Moose’s offerings are delicious, but it’s also just a really fun place to hang out for a little while. They have great soft-serve for cones and sundaes, and the decor is eclectic and interesting. You won’t believe the selection of flavors they have: most people don’t, so when you set aside time to visit, be sure to plan for the time you’ll need to sort through it all.
In addition to lots of flavors, they also have a huge array of toppings to choose from. They have your standards, like hot fudge, peanut butter sauce, and nuts of various kinds, but they also have things like sea salt caramel, waffle cone pieces, pineapple, Oreo sprinkles, cheesecake bites, graham crackers, and much, much more. Get it in cups, cones, or waffle bowls, or get it all made into a shake.
Campbell’s Frozen Custard
Find this delicious spot at 4125 Merchant Plaza, in the Merchant Plaza on the first floor. They’re open from noon every day. They close at 9PM on Mondays and Tuesdays, at 9:30PM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and at 10PM on Fridays and Saturdays. If you’ve never had frozen custard before, be warned: it will ruin you for all other frozen treats from here on out. Custard is made the way icy treats used to be made, with egg yolks, lots of milk fat, and a smaller overrun so the texture is creamier. As a result, you’re satisfied with less.
Campbell’s has a different flavor of the day every day, like mint Oreo, Cocoa Krispies, and lots more. They have cups and cones, waffle cones and bowls, and also offer sundaes, shakes, and malts. Their “scramble” is four or five scoops with all the toppings you want blended in. They also have banana splits, strawberry shortcake, an awesome brownie delight, and their fantastic cashew caramel supreme, which is three scoops of vanilla with cashews, whipped cream, and hot caramel sauce.
La Neveria Michoacana
So, maybe you want to skip the milk fat but double or triple the sugar content: that’s when you want La Neveria Michoacana. Is it healthy? Not even remotely. Is it delicious? Absolutely! You’ll find this place for icy treats at 14420 Jefferson Davis Hwy, and they are open from 11AM until 9PM daily.
What you’re getting here is basically popsicles and other icy, not creamy, flavors. If you have someone in your group who is dairy intolerant, this is a great place to stop for sherbert-style offerings. Try their popsicles: our favs are cotton candy, vanilla with chocolate chips, and the amazing pineapple flavor.
For the best in service on your Ford, to keep it running reliably to all these destinations and more, come see us at Koons Woodbridge Ford today.

4 Things to Love About the 2022 Ford EcoSport
First appearing on sale back in 2003, the Ford EcoSport is a fun subcompact SUV that captured people’s hearts all over the world – which is why it is now Ford’s flagship small SUV. To keep things fresh, the company is always changing and improving certain aspects of this car, and now we have a brand new 2022 Ford EcoSport that brings a whole load of amazing modern features with it.

Ford CoPilot 360
If you ever dreamed of a car that drives itself, then your dream is now a reality with the new EcoSport’s Ford CoPilot 360 technology. Using cameras mounted all around the outside of your car, this system will alter the car’s speed as necessary to align it with the car in front of you, keeping your distance while maintaining the same speed to avoid a collision.
If a collision appears imminent, the car will activate emergency brakes to help you stop, and if your vehicle begins to wander out of its lane then sensors under the car will alert you to this, and even realign itself between the white lines.
Blind-Spot Information and Cross-Traffic Alert
Do you hate backing out of parking spaces? Fear no longer, as with the Cross-Traffic Alert system included as standard on all models of the Ford EcoSport, you will be alerted to any vehicles coming down the road as you are backing up. Not only that, but this system also keeps an eye on vehicles that are in your blind spot, alerting you to any potential dangers and informing you when it is not safe to change lanes.
Hill Start Assist
Hill starts are notoriously difficult, and even the most experienced drivers may find themselves rolling backward into the car behind them when starting the engine on a steep slope. This is why the new Ford EcoSport comes with hill start assist as standard, and this advanced system will allow you up to two seconds to get your foot firmly onto the accelerator after you have lifted off the brake, providing extra safety even in wet or slippery conditions.
Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive
Whether you’re cruising along a country road or taking your car into the wilderness, everyone can benefit from the Ford EcoSport’s standard intelligent AWD system. This smart technology sends power and torque to the wheels that need it most, meaning more control at high speeds on the road, and more traction when heading off-road.
Being on the market for nearly 20 years, Ford has had plenty of time to alter and improve the Ford EcoSport, which is why this new model is such an amazing car to own. The myriad of modern features that come as standard with this car is astounding, and the price is very reasonable, too. If you’re interested in the new Ford EcoSport then drop by and visit us at Koons Woodbridge Ford and we can help find a model to suit you.
